PIPE
- Clene, a pharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, and commercializes novel clean-surfaced nanotechnology therapeutics, received $6.03 million of development capital.
Merger/Acquisition
- Avidity Biosciences, a biopharmaceutical company that delivers Antibody Oligonucleotide Conjugates, a new class of RNA therapeutics, was acquired by Novartis for $11.33 billion.
Later Stage
- Atom Computing, develops quantum computers for scientific and industrial purposes, raised $182 million of venture funding in a deal led by Third Point Ventures.
- Cognito Therapeutics, digital therapeutics that treat neurodegenerative disorders by modulating brain activity and targeting underlying disease mechanisms associated with cognitive decline, raised $105 million of Series C venture funding in a deal led by Morningside Group, Starbloom Capital, and IAG Capital Partners.
- Coreshell, advanced battery components that enhance the performance and efficiency of energy storage systems, raised $46.30 million of Series B1 venture funding from Ferroglobe and GM Ventures.
- Utility Global, clean energy generation systems that reduce emissions, produce hydrogen, and improve productivity, raised $100 million of Series D venture funding in a deal led by Ara Partners, and APG Group.
Early Stage VC
- Averna Therapeutics, genomic medicine that transforms the treatment of a broad range of diseases, raised $85 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Novartis Venture Fund and Delos Capital Partners.
- SoFab Inks, perovskite solar cell manufacturing platform that offers functionalized materials for perovskite solar cells, raised $5.90 million of venture funding.
- SPhotonix, advanced optical devices that improve imaging, sensing, and communication systems, raised $4 million of venture funding in the form of convertible debt in a deal led by XTX Ventures and Creator Fund.
Seed Round
- CellMo Materials Innovation, metal foam materials for industrial and manufacturing applications in energy and thermal management sectors, raised $5.72 million of Seed-4 funding.
