- Cardiol Therapeutics, life sciences company that researches and develops anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic therapies for the treatment of heart diseases, received $11 million of development capital through a private placement.
- Nanoviricides, a nano-biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, and commercializes therapeutics to advance the care of patients suffering from life-threatening viral infections, received $6 million of development capital through a private placement.
- Tharimmune, a biotechnology company that develops a portfolio of therapeutic candidates for rare immune, inflammatory, and oncologic diseases, received $545 million of development capital through a private placement.
- Zentek, IP development and commercialization company that focuses on next-gen healthcare solutions in the areas of prevention, detection, and treatment, received $1.77 million of development capital through a private placement.
Later Stage VC
- xMEMS, a microelectromechanical systems speaker platform that delivers active thermal management for smartphones, SSDs, and data center rack servers, raised $21 million of Series D venture funding in a deal led by Boardman Bay Capital Management.
Early Stage VC
- 2Pi Optics, metasurface flat optics technology that overcomes fundamental limitations of the traditional optical system, raised $11.74 million of Series A venture funding.
Accelerator/Incubator
- Brightlight Photonics, integrated photonic devices for compact light generation, received $113,434 of grant funding from Northeast Microelectronics Coalition as a part of its PROPEL Programme.
Angel (individual)
- Paretor, standardized RNA transfection reagents that simplify and scale RNA delivery for clinical applications, raised $150,000 of angel funding.
Grant
- Axoft, implantable electronics that amplify brain-machine communication for patients with neurodegenerative conditions, received $835,000 of grant funding from Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.
Seed Round
- CereCura Nanotherapeutics, next-generation neurological therapeutics that treat brain disease, raised $1 million of seed funding.
