Top 10 Oil & Gas Capital Raises in the U.S. – March 1st-15th, 2025

PIPE

    1. Prairie Provident Resources Canada, an independent oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production company generating revenue from Oil and natural gas, received an estimated CAD 8.67 million of development capital from PCEP Canadian Holdco and other investors over 2 tranches through a private placement.
    2. Nexera Energy, a Canada based company with oil-producing properties in Southwest Texas as well as non-operated oil and natural gas interests in Central Alberta, Canada, received CAD 600,000 of development capital through a private placement.
    3. Argenta Silver, a silver exploration company committed to advancing projects that support the energy transition, was acquired through a private placement.

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

    1. IMG Energy Solutions, operator of a power generation company intended for environmentally conscious energy services that bridge the gap to a carbon-neutral energy future, was acquired by Liberty Energy.
    2. Jura Energy, an upstream oil and gas exploration company, was acquired by IDL Investments for CAD 1.381 million.
    3. Maverick Natural Resources, operator of oil and gas assets intended to serve the non-renewable energy sector, was acquired by Diversified Energy Company for $1.3 billion.

Buyout/LBO

    1. Lucero Energy, an independent oil company focused on the acquisition, development, and production of oil-weighted assets in the Bakken and Three Forks formations in the Williston Basin area of North Dakota, was acquired by Vitesse Energy through a $222 million public-to-pivate LBO.
    2. Velocity One, manufacturer and designer of custom energetic and pyrotechnic devices intended to serve defense, military, fire suppression, and oil field industries, was acquired by Charlesbank Capital Partners and Launch Point Partners through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

    1. Graphitic Energy, developer of natural gas decarbonizing technology designed to avoid the generation of carbon dioxide from energy processing, raised $20 million of Series A-4 venture funding in a deal led by Trafigura Group, Energy Capital Ventures, and Breakthrough Energy.
    2. Noble Gas Systems, developer of gas storage and delivery technology designed for chemical and gas industries, raised $4.20 million through a combination of Series B and Series B-1 venture funding.
