Top 10 Oncology Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – April 1st – May 31st, 2026

PIPE

    1. Hoth Therapeutics, develops and commercialize infrastructure for the orbital economy, including next-generation nanomagnetic AI chip technology designed for radiation-tolerant, energy-constrained environments such as low-Earth orbit, deep-space platforms, and defense systems, received $2 million of development capital through a private placement.
    2. Shuttle Pharmaceuticals Holdings, clinical-stage pharmaceutical company leveraging its proprietary technology to develop novel therapies designed to cure cancers, received $9.57 million of development capital through a private placement.

Merger/Acquisition

    1. ACEA Therapeutics, oncology drugs for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, was acquired by Phoenix Asia Holdings.
    2. Arcellx, clinical-stage biotechnology company that reimagines cell therapy through the development of immunotherapies for patients with cancer and other incurable diseases, was acquired by Gilead for $6.062 billion.

Later Stage VC

    1. Artax Biopharma, small-molecule drugs that treats autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, raised $19 million of venture funding in the form of convertible debt from Eli Lilly, Advent Life Sciences and Columbus Venture Partners.
    2. Bamf Health, theranostics platform that diagnoses and treats various diseases, raised $59.65 million of venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Deck Bio, cell receptor therapeutics that targets highly expressed cancer specific peptide MHCs, to develop a single drug to increase response rates and reduce drug resistance for cancer patients, raised $2.6 million of venture funding from Impact Ventures and other investors.
    2. Lighthouse Pharma, precision medicine that targets Alzheimer’s and other diseases with unmet medical needs, raised $15.21 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Double Point Ventures.

Seed

    1. Nok Therapeutics, cell-based immunotherapies that treats cancer by restoring immune defense, raised $1.40 million of seed funding.
    2. StokedBio, drug discovery platform that creates novel therapeutics for infections and cancer, raised $2.5 million of seed funding.
