Top 10 Oncology Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – July 16th – August 31st, 2025

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. Resonant Therapeutics, drug discovery platform that helps pharma clients expand their drug discovery pipeline, received development capital from Sweat Equity Partners.

Merger/Acquisition

    1. Aster Insights, health informatics-based tool that accelerates the discovery, development and delivery of personalized medicine for cancer therapies, was acquired by Zephyr AI.
    2. Capstan Therapeutics, biotechnology platform that expands therapeutic options through targeted in vivo Ribonucleic Acid technologies, was acquired by AbbVie for $2.1 billion.
    3. Paige, computational pathology module platform for rapid diagnostic stratification and cancer detection, was acquired by Tempus AI for $81.25 million.

Later Stage VC

    1. Angiex, vascular-targeted biotherapeutics for the treatment of solid cancers and other diseases of pathological angiogenesis, raised $10.98 million of venture funding.
    2. Artax Biopharma, small-molecule drugs that treats autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, raised $11 million of venture funding in the form of convertible debt from Advent Life Sciences, Columbus Venture Partners and other investors.

Early Stage VC 

    1. ArteraAI, AI-enabled predictive and prognostic cancer tests that identifies patients who will benefit from therapy intensification, raised venture funding from EnvisionX Capital.
    2. Corner Therapeutics, biotechnology research services that stimulates exceptional memory T cells for lifelong immunity, raised $58.51 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Ziff Capital Partners.

Seed

    1. Inversion Therapeutics, oncology biotech platform that discovers and progresses therapies against previously untapped cancer mechanisms, raised $6.91 million of seed funding in a deal led by Red Tree Venture Capital.
    2. IsoBio, radiotherapeutic products for cancer treatment, raised $5 million of Seed-1 funding from ASP Isotopes.
