Top 10 Oncology Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – September 16th-30th, 2025

PIPE

    1. Izotropic, research and development company specializing in cancer research and early detection for breast cancer, received CAD 375,000 of development capital through a private placement.

Merger/Acquisition

    1. Qualigen Therapeutics, early-clinical-stage therapeutics company developing treatments for adult and pediatric cancer, was acquired by Faraday Future Intelligent Electric, SIGN Foundation, Sequoia Capital, IDG, Circle, and other investors for $41 million.

Later Stage VC

    1. Angiex, vascular-targeted biotherapeutics for the treatment of solid cancers and other diseases of pathological angiogenesis, raised $21.99 million of venture funding.
    2. Star Therapeutics, antibody-based therapeutics that treats serious and underserved diseases through novel biological pathways, raised $125 million of Series D venture funding in a deal led by Sanofi Ventures and Viking Global Investors.
    3. Thyme Care, oncology care platform that guides cancer patients along their cancer journey, raised $97.05 million through a combination of Series D and Series D-1 funding from CVS Health Ventures, Humana and Texas Oncology.
    4. Volastra, drug discovery and therapeutics company that treats and prevents the formation of metastatic disease, raised $30.1 million of Series A1 venture funding from B Capital Group and other investors.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Aarvik Therapeutics, proprietary modular platform that develops site-specific antibody-drug conjugation technology, raised venture funding.
    2. Aecor.bio, bioactive peptide therapeutics that addresses treatment resistance, raised $1.5 million of venture funding from investors.
    3. Nexo Therapeutics, molecule oncology platform that advances the development of small-molecule therapies for patients with limited treatment options, raised $52.5 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Versant Ventures.

Seed

    1. SiVEC Biotechnologies, live biotherapeutic delivery platform that advances nucleic acid and gene therapies into clinical trials, raised $3.30 million of seed funding.
