- Helix BioPharma, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. It is focused on cancer drug development, received CAD 3 million of development capital through a private placement.
- Lipella Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, received $875,500 of development capital through a private placement.
Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

- Poseida Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on leveraging non-viral gene engineering technologies to create life-saving therapeutics for patients with a high unmet medical need, was acquired by Roche for $1.5 billion.
- Tavros Therapeutics, developer of oncological drugs designed to treat cancer, was acquired by Vividion Therapeutics, a subsidiary of Bayer.

- Normunity, operator of a biotechnology company intended to create precision immuno-oncology medicines, raised $75 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Enavate Sciences and Samsara BioCapital.
- Umoja Biopharma, provider of immunotherapies intended to transform cancer treatment and improve quality of life, raised $100 million of Series C venture funding in a deal led by DCVC Bio and Double Point Ventures.

- Light Horse Therapeutics, operator of a small molecule drug discovery company intended to develop new CRISPR-based functional site-dependency maps, raised $62 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Versant Ventures.
