- Anagram Therapeutics, orally-delivered enzyme therapeutics for the treatment of rare, life-threatening diseases, received $250 million of development capital.
Merger/Acquisition
- Amicus Therapeutics, develops and delivers transformative medicines for people living with rare diseases, was acquired by BioMarin Pharmaceutical for $4.91 billion.
- Arcellx, develops immunotherapies for patients with cancer and other incurable diseases, was acquired by Gilead for $6.06 billion.
Later Stage VC
- Alloy Therapeutics, biotechnology platforms for drug discovery and development, raised $40 million through a combination of Series E1 and Series E2 venture funding.
- Cellares, an integrated development and manufacturing organization that accelerates patients’ access to life-saving cell therapies, raised $257 million of Series D venture funding.
- Create Medicines, cell therapy platform that reprograms innate immune cells for eradicating diseases, raised $122 million of Series B venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- Beeline Medicines, precision immunology therapeutic programs for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, raised $300 million of Series A venture funding.
- Perimeter, biosecurity infrastructure and intelligence software that detects and analyzes biological threats in real time, raised $60 million of Series A venture funding.
Seed Round
- Ancilia Bio, virus-resistant live bacterial products that modulate the human microbiome, raised $10.08 million of Seed funding.
- DesiCorp, freeze-dried red blood cell technology that offers a proper method to extend the shelf-life of blood, raised $6.03 million of Seed-2 funding.
