- BridgeBio Pharma, transformative treatments for patients with genetic diseases, received $1 billion of development capital from HCRx and Sixth Street Partners.
Buyout/LBO
- Obagi Cosmeceuticals, skin care products that prevent the early signs of skin aging, was acquired by Bridgepoint Group through a $460 million LBO.
- PANTHERx Rare, a pharmacy company that specializes in rare and specialty diseases, was acquired by Warburg Pincus and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority through a $7 billion LBO.
Merger/Acquisition
- Nuvalent, precisely targeted therapies for patients with cancer, was acquired by GSK for $9.781 billion.
- Xoma, a biotechnology royalty aggregator that helps biotech companies achieve their goal of improving human health, was acquired by Ligand Pharmaceuticals for $870.55 million.
Later Stage VC
- AdvanCell, radiopharmaceutical therapies that treat cancer using targeted alpha-emitting radionuclides, raised $315 million of Series D venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- Crystalys Therapeutics, develops and commercializes dotinurad, a next-generation inhibitor for the treatment of gout, raised $130 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Frazier Healthcare.
- Dash Bio, clinical bioanalysis platform that offers tech-enabled services for drug development, raised $30 million of Series A venture funding.
- Lynch Regenerative Medicine, regenerative medicine products that promote skin rejuvenation and tissue regeneration, raised $15 million of venture funding.
Seed Round
- Accipiter Biosciences, biotechnology platform that engineers de novo biologics for the treatment of complex diseases, raised $10.49 million of Seed-2 funding.
