PIPE
- Adicet Bio, allogeneic gamma delta T-cell therapies for cancer and other diseases, received $70 million of development capital through a private placement.
- Leap Therapeutics, biomarker-targeted antibody therapies that treat patients with cancer by inhibiting tumor-promoting pathways, targeting cancer-specific cell surface molecules, and harnessing the immune system to attack cancer cells, received $58.88 million of development capital from Winklevoss Capital Management through a private placement.
Merger/Acquisition
- Elutia, bioenvelope business based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, that protects patients receiving implantable medical devices, was acquired by Boston Scientific for $88 million.
- ScPharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical company that creates and commercializes products with the potential to optimize the delivery of infused therapies, advance patient care, and reduce healthcare costs, was acquired by MannKind for $360 million through a combination of debt and equity.
Later Stage VC
- Indapta Therapeutics, biotechnology company that creates a natural killer cell therapy with potent activity to treat cancer, raised $50.8 million of venture funding.
- Pelage, regenerative medical treatment that promotes hair health, raised $120 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by GV and ARCH Venture Partners.
Early Stage VC
- Belhaven Biopharma, life-saving medication for the treatment of anaphylaxis, raised $32.29 million of Series A venture funding.
- Infinity Bio, antibody profiling company that accelerates biomedical discoveries, raised $8 million through a combination of Series A-1 and Series A-2 venture funding in a deal led by Illumina Ventures.
- Kardigan, heart health company that modernizes cardiovascular drug development, raised $254 million of Series B venture funding from Sequoia Heritage, ARCH Venture Partners, and Fidelity Management & Research Company.
Seed Round
- Aerska, RNA medicines that treat, delay, and prevent diseases of the brain, raised $21 million of seed funding in a deal led by Age 1, Backed VC and Speedinvest.
