PE Growth/Expansion

  1. SHINE Technologies, fusion-based technology solutions that produce neutron sources for industrial imaging applications, and nuclear waste recycling, received $240 million of development capital.

PIPE

  1. LB Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company that develops novel therapies for the treatment of a wide range of neuropsychiatric disorders including schizophrenia, bipolar depression, adjunctive treatment of depressive disorder and other diseases, received $100 million of development capital.
  2. Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company that develops and commercializes therapies for rare and orphan diseases, received $200 million of development capital.

Later Stage VC

  1. Altesa BioSciences, antiviral medicines for the treatment of respiratory infections and global viral threats, raised $75 million through a combination of Series B and Series B-1 venture funding in a deal led by Forbion.
  2. BreezeBio, curative therapies for current gene therapy delivery challenges, raised $60 million through a combination of debt, Series B and Series B-1 venture funding in a deal led by DSC Investment and Yuanta Investment.
  3. Earendil Labs, AI scientific computing platform for biotechnology firms, pharmaceutical companies, and research institutions, raised $787 million of Series C venture funding from Dimension Capital Management, 21Vita and DST Global.

Grant

  1. EpiFrontier Therapeutics, differentiated epigenetic modulator that safely and robustly increases fetal haemoglobin to treat sickle cell disease and other hemoglobinopathies, received $32 million of grant funding from Japan Agency for Medical Research and Developments.
  2. Kenai Therapeutics, induced pluripotent stem cell-based cell therapy platform that develops disease-modifying treatments for Parkinson’s disease and other central nervous system conditions, received $8 million of grant funding from California Institute for Regenerative Medicine.

Seed Round

  1. GelMEDIX, light-activated biomaterial platform that brings innovation in ocular and regenerative therapies, raised $13.54 million through a combination of Seed-1 and Seed-2 funding in a deal led by Safar Partners.
  2. ParcelBio, programmable technology that delivers messenger ribonucleic acid to diverse cell types in the body, raised $13.18 million through a combination of Seed funding from ZAKA VC, North South Ventures and Lexi Ventures.
