- Lixte Biotechnology Holdings, biopharmaceutical company that improves patients’ lives by developing a drug class called Protein Phosphatase 2A inhibitors, raised approximately $5.05 million of development capital through a private placement.
Merger/Acquisition
- ENPP1 Program, drug that restores the crucial balance of inorganic pyrophosphate necessary for proper bone mineralization, was acquired by Recursion Pharmaceuticals for up to $25 million.
- SpringWorks Therapeutics, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that applies a precision medicine approach to acquiring, developing, and commercializing life-changing medicines for underserved patient populations suffering from devastating rare diseases and cancer, was acquired by Merck for $3.4 billion.
Later Stage VC
- BioSapien, three-dimensional printed drug delivery platform that delivers medicines in a localized, sustained manner for cancer indications, raised $8 million of Pre-Series A venture funding through a combination of debt and equity.
- KromaTiD, next-gen cytogenetic products for discovering, detecting, and diagnosing genomic rearrangements in the areas of oncology and rare diseases, raised $3.58 million of Series C venture funding.
- Neutrolis, biotechnology company that develops therapeutics that target neutrophils, the most abundant immune cell in our body, raised $4.46 million of venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- Ospri, molecular diagnostic technologies that streamline and improve operational efficiency in laboratory testing, raised venture funding from Catalio Capital Management.
- Regatta Bio, regulatory T cell therapies for transplantation and immune-related conditions, raised venture funding from Panacea Venture.
- Synfini, artificial intelligence drug discovery platform that accelerates chemistry design, development, and synthesis, raised $8.9 million of venture funding in a deal led by JSL Health Capital.
Angel (individual)
- Conexeu Sciences, regenerative medicine technology that accelerates wound healing and skin regeneration, raised $2.57 million of angel funding.
