Merger/Acquisition

    1. DataFlik, an AI-powered list stacking and predictive modeling platform that helps real estate investors and agents, was acquired by REISift.
    2. Redfin, a residential real estate broker that pairs its agents with the technology to create a service that is faster and costs less, was acquired by Rocket Companies for $2.708 billion.
    3. ZenList, a collaborative search platform for real estate properties, was acquired by Realtor.com, a subsidiary of Move.

Later Stage VC

    1. AvantStay, a hospitality platform for short-term vacation rentals, raised venture funding from Beedie Capital.
    2. Calque, a real estate platform that offers a real estate buying experience that is convenient and affordable, raised venture funding from Collective Capital Ventures.
    3. Locate, a retail site selection brokerage platform that helps real estate businesses make site selection decisions, raised $9.15 million of venture funding from Hat-trick Capital and other investors.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Neovi, a prefabricated residential building systems that delivers high-quality custom homes with increased efficiency and sustainability, raised venture funding from Mango Capital.
    2. Strobe Power, an AI-powered software that transforms real estate into autonomous power plants, raised venture funding from Stellation Capital.
    3. Uplist, a real estate technology software that manages the way loan officers, listing agents, builders, and homebuyers interact, raised venture funding from Calterra Capital.

Seed

    1. Bild AI, an AI-powered blueprint analysis platform that automates manual blueprint processing and material cost estimation, raised $3.1 million of seed funding in a deal led by Khosla Ventures.

Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
