- MoxiWorks, developer of a software platform intended for residential real estate brokerages and their agents, received development capital from Windermere Real Estate, Howard Hanna Real Estate Services and Vector Capital.
Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

- Southeastern Engineering, provider of engineering services catering to municipal, county governments and state agencies, was acquired by Atwell. The acquisition increases Atwell’s depth and strength in the Southeast, particularly in engineering and surveying services.
- Rubik, operator of an artificial intelligence-powered real estate technology platform designed for the disposal of off-market wholesale properties, was acquired by Doorvest.
Later Stage VC

- Roofr, developer of a roofing platform designed to streamline the entire roof replacement process for consumers, raised an undisclosed amount of Series B venture funding in a deal led by TCV.
- CREtelligent, provider of commercial real estate services intended to deliver enhanced environmental due diligence, raised $750,000 of venture funding.
- Stratus, developer of construction and virtual design software designed to assist in facilitating and bridging the gap within the construction workflow, raised $40.61 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Radian Capital.
- OnSiteIQ, developer of a construction documentation and intelligence platform designed for risk assessment for development projects, raised $18.04 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Vertical Venture Partners.
Early Stage VC

- Landeed, developer of encumbrance certificate application designed to digitize land records, raised $5 million of venture funding in a deal led by 10x Founders.
- Bedrock Energy, provider of construction services intended to transform the heating and cooling of buildings, raised $12 million through a combination of Series A-1, Series A-2, and Series A-3 venture funding in a deal led by Titanium Ventures.
Angel, Seed, and Grant

- Shovels, developer of national building permits and contractor’s directory platform designed to compile and analyze public records, raised $6.57 million of seed funding from Virta Ventures and other investors.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
