- Birdcall, technology-driven quick-service restaurant chain that makes natural foods more accessible, received development capital from 2nd & Fillmore.
- HuHot, Asian restaurant chain that offers create-your-own stir-fry concept and allows customers to create a different meal every time, received $5 million of development capital.
Merger/Acquisition
- Bar Louie Restaurant, casual dining bar and restaurant chain that combines the consistency of a national brand with local appeal, and enables customers to enjoy premium cocktails, local brews, and great food, was acquired by Sun Holdings.
- Bravo Brio Restaurants, chain of full-service Italian restaurants across the US, was acquired by R&R Brands.
- Cheer Up Charlies, bar and live event venue based in Austin, Texas, that offers beverages, drag shows, live music, film screenings, and community events, was acquired by Pride Holdings Group.
Buyout/LBO
- Gigi’s Bar & Lounge, Latin-inspired bar and brunch lounge based in Texas, that offers dining and nightlife experiences, was acquired by Mezas Capital Group through an LBO.
- Gil’s Elegant Catering, premium event catering services for weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations, was acquired by Proof of the Pudding, via its financial sponsor Bruin Capital, through an LBO.
- Gracious Bakery, artisan bakery and cafe that delivers quality, handcrafted baked goods and gourmet sandwiches, was acquired by Callais Capital Management through an LBO.
Accelerator/Incubator
- Al-Sabeel Restaurant, Lebanese restaurant that provides an authentic dining experience, joined i.d.e.a. Fund and received $20,000 in funding.
- RaschGo, restaurant marketplace platform that offers an on-the-move dining solution, offering fresh and proper meals for dine-in or takeout, graduated from Orbit Startups and received $180,000 in funding.
