Top 10 Robotics and Drones Capital Raises in the U.S. – January 1st-15th, 2025

PIPE

    1. Microbot Medical, a pre-clinical medical device company that specializes in developing next-generation micro-robotic medical technologies that can change the future of medicine, received $7 million of development capital through a private placement.
    2. Serve Robotics, developer of next-generation robots for last-mile delivery services, received $80 million of development capital through a private placement.

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

    1. Uniform Sierra Aerospace, developer of small unmanned aircraft systems designed to improve safety and efficiency for businesses and governments, was acquired by Flock Safety.
    2. Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics, operator of a robotics automation company intended to improve the way people shop and retailers operate, was acquired by Symbotic for $200 million.

Later Stage VC

    1. Blendid, developer of a robotic smoothie kiosk designed to offer a complete array of healthy and affordable foods using robotics, raised $1.5 million of Series 1 venture funding.
    2. EarthSense, developer of an agricultural robotics and artificial intelligence platform designed to focus on gathering data to make farming more productive and sustainable, raised venture funding from 2468 Ventures.

Early Stage VC 

    1. AirWise, developer of flight planning platform intended for image processing, raised $3.19 million of Series A venture funding.
    2. Cosmic Robotics, developer of artificial intelligence-based robotics designed for the utility-scale photovoltaic solar construction industry, raised venture funding from MaC Venture Capital.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

    1. RoboForce, manufacturer of an artificial intelligence-robotics system intended to build a robotic workforce system, raised $10 million of angel funding from Carnegie Mellon University, Gary Rieschel and Myron Scholes.
    2. Etc. Robotics, developer of a robotic software designed for robots to use innovative sensors with human-level motion perception, raised $183,080 of seed funding.
