Top 10 Robotics and Drones Capital Raises in the U.S. – October 16th-31st, 2024

1. Palladyne AI, a software company focused on autonomy for robotic systems received $946,231 of development capital through a private placement.

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

2. Aerodome, developer of air support and drones as first responder platforms intended to allow agencies to deploy drones for missions was acquired by Flock Safety.

Later Stage VC

3. Nimble, designer of a robotic system designed to provide automated end-to-end piece-picking, sorting, and packing systems for e-commerce orders raised $106 million of Series C venture funding in a deal led by FedEx and Cedar Pine.

4. Carbon Robotics, developer of a robotics technology raised $70 million through a combination of Series D and Series D-1 venture funding in a deal led by BOND Capital.

5. Simbe, developer of AI and robotics software designed to automate retail store operations raised $50 million of Series C venture funding in a deal led by Goldman Sachs Growth Equity.

6. Third Wave Automation, manufacturer of an autonomous forklift technology raised $27 million of Series C venture funding in a deal led by Woven Capital.

Early Stage VC

7. Physical Intelligence, operator of a general-purpose AI company intended to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and the physical world raised $300 million of venture funding.

8. Renovate Robotics, developer of an automation technology designed for construction purposes raised a venture funding from Saint-Gobain NOVA.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

9. Edge AI, developer of a pipeline inspection robotics technology intended to identify infrastructure issues accurately raised $3 million of seed funding.

10. Magnendo, developer of Robotic System designed to treat neurovascular diseases raised $2.26 million of seed funding in the form of convertible debt from SBXi and other investors.
