Top 10 SpaceTech Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – January 1st – 31st, 2026

Buyout/LBO

  1. Kythera Space Solutions, a software solution platform that designs, optimizes, and manages next-generation communication satellites and networks, acquired by Auria Space, via its financial sponsor Enlightenment Capital, through an LBO.

Early Stage VC

  1. Starlab Space, a commercial space station company that serves space agencies, researchers, and companies, raised Series A venture funding from Okeanos, Mercury Fund and Blanck Capital.
  2. Northwood Space, an ultra-wideband gateway technology that expands access to space by transforming satellite backhaul infrastructure, raised $100 million through a combination of Series B and Series B-1 venture funding in a deal led by Andreessen Horowitz and Washington Harbour.
  3. Space-ng, aviation and aerospace components that deliver optical, navigation, and machine perception services for mission success to support commercial, defense, and civil space programs, raised venture funding from Tesserakt Ventures.

Accelerator/Incubator

  1. SkyFi, an earth observation marketplace that lowers the barrier to entry for procuring custom data and imagery, joined Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic.
  2. CUS-GNC, autonomous navigation, and control technology that enhances precision and autonomy in satellite operations, joined Takeoff Accelerator and received funding in the form of SAFE notes.
  3. MelaTech, melanin-based biomaterials that provide protection, heat capture, and energy generation, joined TEDCO as a part of its Business Resource Information, Development, and Guidance Ecosystem Program Proposal Lab cohort.
  4. Photonect, packaging and interconnect systems that improve the speed, efficiency, and durability of chip connections, joined Rev: Ithaca Startup Works as a part of its Sixth Manufacturing Hardware Accelerator Cohort and received $10,000 in grant funding.
  5. Picogrid, a field intelligence technology platform that provides continuous and real-time insight into remote locations, joined Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic in 2026 and received EUR 100,000 in grant funding.
  6. Tightbeam Photonics, low-cost laser communication systems that reduce the cost and complexity of space-to-ground data links through advanced photonics technology, joined Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic.
