Top 10 SpaceTech Capital Raises in the U.S. – November 1st-15th, 2024

Buyout/LBO

  1. Maxar Technologies, provider of radio frequency and software-based technology for trusted data transport, advanced information processing and mission management, was acquired by ARKA Group, via its financial sponsor Blackstone.

Later Stage VC

  1. Lunar Outpost, developer of space robotics designed to extend the presence on the lunar surface while having a positive impact on Earth, raised for Series A venture funding in a deal led by Type One Ventures and Industrious.
  2. ORB Aerospace, developer of an electric aircraft designed to revolutionize the aviation, raised $3.20 million of venture funding through combination investors.
  3. Orbital Sidekick, developer of a hyperspectral data imaging technology designed to capture and send images and mapping data of the earth, raised $8.63 million of Series A2 venture funding from investors.
  4. Starfish Space, developer of autonomous satellite servicing vehicles designed for in-space satellite maintenance, raised $29.51 million of Series A1 venture funding in a deal led by Shield Capital.

Equity Crowdfunding

  1. Infinity, developer of a military and space fuel cell designed to build, manufacture, assemble test, and deploy complete proton exchange membrane air-independent fuel cell power systems for use in underwater and space applications, raised $4.25 million of equity crowdfunding via DealMaker Securities.

Accelerator/Incubator

  1. Spin Drift Technologies, provider of technology services intended to provide simple services to complex problems through the innovation of novel systems, joined The Catalyst Accelerator as a part of it’s Space-Based Joint Spectrum 14th Cohort.
  2. Pulsar Space Systems, developer of space technology designed to enhance efficiency and performance for businesses in the space sector, joined SDA TAP LAB.
  3. Origami Space, developer of space technology designed for making small satellite, joined The Catalyst Accelerator as a part of its 14th cohort.

Grant

  1. Akash Systems, developer of RF power amplifier and communications gear technology designed to serve the aviation and aerospace industry, received $18.2 million of grant funding from U.S. Department of Commerce.
