Top HR Tech Capital Raises in the U.S. – May 16th to 31st, 2025

Buyout/LBO

  1. Shiftboard, online scheduling and hourly workforce management software designed to manage workforce needs, was acquired by UKG, via its financial sponsors Blackstone, CPP Investments, Hellman & Friedman, JMI Equity, Lead Edge Capital and others, through an LBO on May 30, 2025.

Later Stage VC

  1. Awardco, employee recognition platform designed to enhance workplace culture, raised $165 million of Series B venture funding from Sixth Street Partners, Spectrum Equity and General Catalyst on May 20, 2025, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $835 million.
  2. Clair, instant pay access technology designed to offer on-demand access to earned wages, raised $23.2 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Upfront Ventures on May 21, 2025.
  3. Flo Recruit, recruiting event management software designed to support virtual interview events, raised $5.03 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by LiveOak Ventures and Moneta Ventures on May 21, 2025, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $38.97 million.

Seed Round

  1. Double Nickel, truck driver recruiting software designed to streamline hiring and ensure regulatory adherence for transportation companies, raised $2.5 million of seed funding from investors on May 27, 2025.
  2. SteppingStone, artificial intelligence-driven platform designed for job search and hiring process, raised $580,000 of seed funding from investors on May 28, 2025.
