Top Oil & Gas Capital Raises in the U.S. – April 16th to 31st, 2025

PIPE

  1. Capital Power, a North American power producer whose principal activities are developing, acquiring, and operating power plants) received CAD 150 million of development capital from Alberta Investment Management on April 22, 2025, through a private placement.

Buyout/LBO

  1. ICP Industries, provider of cylinder repair services for the natural gas industry, was acquired by Cooper Machinery Services, via its financial sponsor Arcline, through an LBO on April 30, 2025.
  2. Kinetic Pressure Control, developer of offshore well control technology designed to offer wellhead pressure control and management, was acquired by Scout Surface Solutions, via its financial sponsor B-29 Investments, through an LBO on April 21, 2025.
  3. Lancer Energy, provider of engineering, construction, and maintenance services intended to serve automotive, natural gas, hydrogen, electric vehicle (EV) charging and related industries, was acquired by Freedom CNG, via its financial sponsor Apollo Global Management, through an LBO on April 30, 2025.

Later Stage VC

  1. Gaia Refinery, provider of energy refining services intended to restore Earth’s balance by removing carbon from the atmosphere,  raised venture funding from British Columbia Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy on April 25, 2025.

Grant

  1. Osmoses, developer of an industrial separation equipment technology intended to purify gas molecules efficiently, received $200,000 of grant funding from Massachusetts Technology Collaborative on April 24, 2025.
