Top SpaceTech Capital Raises in the U.S. – May 1st to 15th, 2025

Merger/Acquisition

  1. Optical Physics, designer and manufacturer of advanced optical systems intended for aerospace, defense, and scientific applications, was acquired by Voyager (NYS: VOYG) for $10.7 million on May 2, 2025.

Later Stage VC

  1. X-Bow Systems, manufacturer of rocket propellant intended to offer access to orbit for commercial and government payloads, raised $105 million through a combination of Series B-1, Series B-2, and Series B-3 venture funding in a deal led by Lockheed Martin Ventures and Razor’s Edge Ventures on May 12, 2025, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $503 million.
  2. SkySelect, operator of a digital aircraft procurement platform intended to facilitate the purchasing of aircraft parts, raised venture funding from Verb Ventures in May 2025.

Early Stage VC

  1. Starlab Space, operator of a commercial space station company intended to serve space agencies, researchers, and companies, raised venture funding from Mercury Fund in May 2025.
  2. Obruta, developer of autonomy software infrastructure designed to support the full lifecycle of in-space satellite services, raised venture funding from AVenture Capital on May 5, 2025.

Accelerator/Incubator

  1. Cascade Space, developer of a spacecraft communication and design platform intended for missions beyond low Earth orbit, joined Y Combinator on May, 2025 and received $500,000 in funding.
