Castle Placement, CUNY Startups and Amazon

The grand finale of CPGO Competition II, a capital raising bracket tournament sponsored by Castle Placement, CUNY Startups and Amazon, took place on May 3rd, 2019 at Amazon Loft in SoHo.

Throughout the tournament some of CUNY’s best students pitched their businesses on Castle Placement’s website, as if they were presenting to investors to raise capital. The contestants were all great companies poised for growth. “We were amazed at the great ideas and fantastic presentations submitted by the CUNY students” said Richard Luftig, a Managing Partner at Castle Placement. “Many of these students are managing to simultaneously go to school full-time and create incredible businesses.” Thousands of voters narrowed the field in on-line voting to four finalists who pitched at the grand finale, a well-attended live Amazon Loft event.

Each finalist presented their company, opportunity, and strategy to a panel of judges from Blackrock, Amazon, Castle Placement, and CUNY Startups, and the audience. At the end of the event, the judges and audience (voting on their phones) selected OASIX, was selected by the judges a growing company that helps charitable organizations provide attribution to its donors.  

All contestants received free exposure on Castle Placement’s website. The grand prize was free access to 100 targeted investors with contact information on the CPGO Network, Castle Placement’s proprietary capital raising app (cpgoapp.com), and a free three-month listing on Castle Placement’s website.
